Reading: II Corinthians 4:7-12
But in all these things we are more than those who win ....- Romans 8:37Have you heard the story of a farmer's donkey fell into a dry well? Farmers are already trying to remove his donkey, but for all his efforts failed he finally gave up and he decided to bury the mule in the well. But the donkey had other ideas. At first, when shovelful of soil starts on his back, the donkey was becoming hysterical. But suddenly there was a thought that pops up, "I just need to shake it and stepping on the land." He do so.Time after time passed, when his body hit the ground, the donkey kept saying to himself, "I just need to shake it and stepping on the land." However much the land that was inflicted upon him, he constantly flick and tread on it, until the well filled with soil and the donkey out in triumph.
There is a very good moral message of this illustration. Life can bury or bless us, the difference lies in the attitude of our hearts. The world is full of people who love to criticize for the drop, gossiping to look for the shortcomings of others, and also comparing with worldly standards. There are times when people "throw the land" towards us, but do not panic, shake it "land", and landed above.Make criticism as a springboard. Make disparaging look as motivation. If you must accept the negative words, look at the positive things that might have slipped. Everyone is entitled to throw the land to us, but we can choose to flick and tread on it.People will take anything from us without return, they will criticize us in every way, they do not appreciate every effort you and others, so be prepared. Use the land as a fertilizer and more powerful growing. Eleanor Roosevelt once said, "Nobody can make you inferior without your consent." We shall not live by what others say, but from what God says about us.Accept the negative things that happen to you and turn it into a positive force.
