Doing Small Case

Reading: John 13:1-20
.... and began to wash His disciples' feet, then wipe with a cloth ... - John 13:5Among the many tasks demanded of responsibility and credibility is high, a firefighter is one of them. For the sake of a job, they sometimes must be risked. But firefighters in Hamburg, Germany, some time ago be bothered by one local resident named Elfrida Schuster. The 21-year-old woman called the local fire brigade units to help the pet rat that stuck in his cage. While this new and strange the first time got a call with such a trivial task, the firefighters are willing to help mice that were troubled with full responsibility.Surely each of us has a different attitude in seeing a problem. If we are so firefighters in Hamburg, maybe we'll laugh at the doings of a young woman panicked when she saw her favorite mouse squashed. We consider this no big deal, otherwise trivial things that do not need to be done by a fire officer who is usually a hero when there is fire. How could the fire

officers were called to a trivial problem? However, there is a very good moral message of the true story, the responsibility and high credibility in the slightest task as well.In the world of services, things like this to be quite rare. Self-esteem and prestige often coloring the servants of God. For the important tasks that involve people or to do great things, we would easily say yes, even with the intention of becoming a star high morale in the service we do. But turn to get service tasks that are trivial, with many of the reasons we try to avoid it, even we often become offended by trivial things that are assigned to us.We should learn from Jesus about humility. He who is God would do well no matter how small the service, including washing the disciples' feet and taking the form of a servant. The hand that had put the sun and stars, now have to wash the feet are dirty because of dust. Do your best even for small things though.Do the little things that usually avoid people, to train our humility.
